Welcome to Kuldiha,
This sanctuary is located in the district of Balasore and is blessed with a charming forest and a variety of wildlife such as tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, sambar, giant squirrel, a number of bird species like leaf-bird, hill myna, peafowl, hornbills and various reptiles. Some cycus plants and surprisingly very few mangrove trees also could be seen at Gudikhola area.
The sanctuary is linked with Similipal through Sukhupada hills and Nato hill ranges. A trek from Nilgiri amidst Kuldiha forests is worth enjoying. Two rest houses at Kuldiha and Jadaclhuan and the perennial streams are treat for the visitors.
Nearby attractions at Kuldiha Forest: Among the nearest destinations, you can definitely visit the Russia Dam or Rishia Dam as it is locally known. This is a great place to look for some seclusion. The dam is also the place to watch out for some elephants from the Tenda Elephant Sanctuary who come here for water. You can also visit Panchlingeswar on a short trip.
